January 2026 Newsletter
Education Connection Advisors wishes you a fresh and positive new year.
What does a New Year mean to you and to your family? What role does education play in your new year? If you have one, what is your New Year’s resolution?
As we enter 2026, we invite you to reflect on what this year means for your family and the role education will play in it. At Education Connection Advisors, we have spent time renewing our own purpose. We are dedicated to helping families repair concerns and rebuild structure through improved planning, understanding, and communication.
Our mission for the year is centered on five core principles:
Resolve: We resolve to keep students at the center of every decision, valuing their growth and curiosity while listening closely to parents’ goals. We remain committed partners to both parents and fellow educators.
Repair: Progress requires patience and trust. Often, transparency breaks down when educators and parents stop listening to one another. Our role is to repair the relationships between schools, children, and parents.
Renew: This is the season of energy and hope, where goal setting and progress are often made. This is a growth period where our children have a burst of learning as the new semester begins. It is the perfect time to build confidence, restart family routines, and encourage dedicated time for homework, activities, and family connection.
Refocus: Now is the time to evaluate what can be improved. Whether it is setting limits on technology, adding tutoring, or focusing on social-emotional development, we encourage you to refocus your energy on what matters most for your child’s growth.
Rebuild: Change your goals. Change your plans and look forward to the months ahead. Get a jump on what is important for your family. Maybe it’s a bucket list trip, a special camp experience or new desk for homework. Set the expectations for success with a positive perspective. Also rebuild your communication channels. Is this the time to talk to your child’s teacher, the grade chair, the coach and help your child move through a difficult period? Is this the time to rebuild your connection with your child by listening to their stories about the day, who they had lunch with or who got in trouble that day. Put your own phone down and prioritize listening and communicating. We are missing our children’s daily experiences due to our own distractions.
Educational consultants serve as trusted partners for families. We listen carefully to you describe your children and his/her learning styles. We meet with you and your children to help you identify the next step in the learning process, navigate the school transition and communicate effectively with you and the schools. We are looking ahead to help you resolve, repair, renew, refocus and rebuild together. We want to collaborate with you, and with schools, to create learning environments and experiences where every child is supported, understood and prepared for their next step. For 24 years, our team has helped countless families. Welcome to 2026!
